Citizens can help us celebrate this event in a variety of ways, such as having a block party, a cookout, flashlight walks, or by sitting on their front porch with their lights on – a symbol that has become a tradition over the years. Those organizing parties or gatherings on October 18th are encouraged to call Capt. Earl Geason with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office to have officers visit their neighborhoods. Please join us in promoting crime prevention awareness and neighborhood unity in the fight against crime!
