The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, along with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries, will conduct a Louisiana Hunter Education Field Day Course on Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM.  The course will be conducted at the St. James Parish Sheriffs’ Office Range & Training Facility.

Pre-registration for this course is required.  Before attending any Hunter Education Field Day, Students MUST complete the Home Study Education Course.  The Louisiana Field Day Qualifier Voucher must be printed and presented to the instructor.

Hunter Education is mandatory for anyone born on or after September 1st, 1969. 

Older hunters going out of state may also be required to have certification depending on other states regulations.   

These courses are free of charge and are open to ages 10 year and up.

Students must present printed affidavit statement from the home study course for entry into this class.  All materials needed is provided.
