The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested and booked Timothy Moll in connection with the 2012 murder of Aaron Jones.  Timothy Moll (DOB 7-11-1988, 381 Blossom Court, Waggaman, LA 70094) has been charged with one count of LA R.S. 14:30.1 Second Degree Murder and one count of LA R.S. 14:27.30.1 Attempted Second Degree Murder.  Aaron Jones (DOB 2/12/1973) and his fiancÌÄå© were attacked outside of their residence located in the Magnolia Public Housing Complex on May 11th, 2012.  Aaron Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. James Parish Coroner’s Office and his fiancÌÄå© was transported to the hospital with life threatening gunshot wounds.  The 2012 murder marked the first since 2008 in St. James Parish.  Timothy Moll is currently incarcerated at the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail awaiting bond.  Timothy Moll is the second individual to be arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Aaron Jones.  On May 14th, 2012, Joseph Johnson (DOB 01/26/1986, Convent, LA) was arrested and charged with one count of LA R.S. 14:30.1 Second Degree Murder and one count of LA R.S. 14:27.30.1 Attempted Second Degree Murder.  Joseph Johnson was subsequently indicted by a St. James Parish Grand Jury on July 12th, 2012 for LA R.S. 14:30 First Degree Murder; LA R.S. 14:27.30 Attempted First Degree Murder; and LA R.S. 14:95.1 Carrying of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  If convicted of First Degree Murder, Joseph Johnson could be sentenced to death under Louisiana Law.  Joseph Johnson is currently being held at the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail under a $270,000.00 bond.
