On October 4th, 2013, Shots were fired in a school zone after the Friday night Lutcher High School football game.  Throughout the course of an investigation conducted by the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, along with the cooperation of witnesses and victims, both the suspect and vehicle were identified.  Search and arrest warrants were obtained, leading to the arrest of 19 year old Jarrin Bartley.  Bartley was arrested on Thursday October, 10th 2013, on charges of: Attempted Second Degree Murder, Illegal use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm on school property.  The suspect was arrested at his residence, where two firearms were recovered.  Bartley is currently being held at the St. James Parish Detention Center under a $45,000 bond.
