On October 26, 2016 at approximately 8:49pm, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding an individual who had been shot in Lutcher, LA. The shooting took place at 2487 N. Courseault St., Lutcher, LA. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered an individual who had been shot multiple times. The shooting victim was identified as being 21 year old Charles Lucas from Lutcher, LA. Mr. Lucas resides at the residence where the shooting took place. Acadian Ambulance was dispatched to the scene and transported Mr. Lucas to University Hospital in New Orleans, LA where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently in critical condition. Detectives are actively investigating the case.
