On Sunday March 24th, 2013 at approximately 6:30 pm, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a child being struck by a vehicle on LA 642 in Paulina. The incident took place near the intersection of Caroldale Road and LA 642. After striking the child, the driver of the vehicle sped away to flee the scene. The sheriff’s office has been conducting an investigation to establish the identity of the individual who was operating the vehicle. According to an eye witness, the vehicle is being described as a silver or grey 4 door Chevrolet pick-up truck (model year between 2008 Ì¢âÂÛÏ 2010). The driver is being described as a white male, early to mid 50’s, with “salt and pepperÌ¢âÂå hair color.
