On May 11th, 2012 at approximately 0245, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting which had taken place in Vacherie, LA. The caller stated that two people had been shot. The shooting took place at a residence located in the Magnolia Housing Complex. When deputies arrived, they discovered a man and woman had been shot while on the front porch of a residence. Acadian Ambulance was dispatched to the scene to provide medical attention.
The male subject was identified as being Aaron Jones (DOB 02/12/1973, B/M, 1504 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA) and the female was identified as being Christina Gale. Aaron Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. James Parish Coroner’s Office and Christina Gale was transported by Acadian Ambulance to receive medical attention for her wounds. She was treated and released from University Hospital in New Orleans. No motive for the shooting has been established at this time. The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the shooting.
