On January 14th, 2014 at approximately 8:24pm, a shooting occurred at St. James High School in St. James, LA. One subject was shot in the parking lot in front of the school gym. A high school basketball game between St. James High School and Lutcher High School was taking place in the gym. The shooting victim was transported to University Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the shooting. St. James Sheriff’s Office detectives are continuing their investigation. At this time, detectives believe there is no connection with the game that was taking place tonight. The victim was in stable condition upon transportation to the hospital.
