EMERGENCY RESPONSE

St. James Parish is vulnerable to both natural and man-made disasters ranging from tropical systems to hazardous material incidents.  The St. James Parish Sheriffs’ Office works hand in hand with the St. James Parish EOC to; prevent, prepare, respond, and recover from all forms of disasters.  Often times, local Law Enforcement are the primary first responders during events, therefore; our office takes Emergency Preparedness to the next level with training, preparing, pre-staging resources, and utilizing communication tools to keep the public informed during times of disaster.
